Hardware requirements
When installing on bare metal, the Vinteo server requires:
– SATA SSD drives (2 units);
– support for Legacy/CSM boot mode;
– dual‑rank RAM;
– memory modules installed in all CPU memory channels.
To ensure stable system operation with 100 or more participants simultaneously and with optimal video quality, we strongly recommend using Nvidia graphics cards in the servers.
Virtualization infrastructure requirements
We recommend installing the server on bare metal, but if virtualization is required, the following requirements must be met:
– host CPUs must be at least Scalable generation 1 or better;
– reserve dedicated resources for the VM;
– it is recommended to run the server as the only application on the host;
– you must leave one unused physical core for the server host;
– disable VM migration to other hosts;
– in the VM settings, I/O MMU support must be enabled;
– the host CPU must physically operate with memory in full channel configuration (for 1st/2nd generation this is 6 DIMMs per CPU, for 3rd generation this is 8 DIMMs per CPU, according to the server vendor documentation);
– multi‑channel memory is critical for server operation, as the server uses the “memory‑CPU” multi‑channeling provided by the hardware vendor. Without multi‑channeling, the server can enter a critical load state, which directly affects both the quality of conferences and the server’s stability;
– disk subsystem performance must be at least 150 IOPS.
