In the “System” section, in the left functional panel list, there is an item called “PKS Settings”. Clicking it opens the page with the same name. This page contains settings for synchronizing data and routing calls between PKS and VCS servers.

This functionality is required when the Vinteo VCS server is located in a closed network. At the same time, participants from an external network need to join the conference.

To connect to the VCS server without placing it in the public network, we recommend installing the PKS server in the DMZ. Then you need to configure firewalls so that traffic passes only between the PKS and VCS servers. This creates a scheme in which users from the external network call the PKS server, which is accessible from outside, and the PKS server forwards the call to the VCS server located in the internal network.

To synchronize PKS and VCS servers, you need to:

  1. set the toggle to the “Enabled” position;
  2. enter the server’s universal unique identifier in the field below;
  3. define the server role: internal or external.

For the internal server, you need to specify the external API key, the server IP address, and the UUID of the external server. For the external server — the server IP address and the UUID of the internal server.

After configuring all settings, click the “Save” button.
